Senior Vapor 1X OD1N Pro Trapper - 2017

BAUER Senior Vapor 1X OD1N Pro Hockey Goalie Trapper - 2017

The Bauer Vapor 1X trapper features a one-piece cuff to maximize the coverage and stability of the trapper’s blocking surface. The 1X trapper has a 60-degree closure, bringing the index finger to the tip of the thumb. This closure is very familiar and popular amongst most goalies. Easier to close doesn’t mean less protective, thankfully. The palm of the new Vapor 1X trapper has Bauer’s Curv composite, which is a stiff composite that they use to form the boots of their latest skates. This palm is further reinforced with XRD Foam. No matter how strenuous the game, the palm of the trapper stays quite dry and cool, thanks to Bauer’s Transfer Mesh liner with 37.5® technology. This liner increases the movement of moisture out of the glove, keeping it relatively dry. The trapper comes stock with a hybrid-T. The anchoring point of the hybrid-T is like a double-T, but comes together to form a single-T. This design makes it easier to close the glove and increases puck retention. The Vapor 1X trapper features digitally printed graphics, that will make goalies feel lighter and quicker when it matters.

FEATURES:

  • One-piece cuff
  • New hybrid T trap Curv® composite technology in glove palm
  • 60 degree break angle XRD® Foam reinforced palm
  • Digitally-printed graphics
  • Comfort edge on thumb gusset
  • Transfer mesh liner with 37.5® Technology
  • Free Flex cuff featuring AEROLITE technology foam

General Tips

  • Always air dry equipment in a well ventilated area after use. Air circulation enhances the speed at which equipment dries and also the smell!
  • Spray or deodorize products with sports disinfectant and not household sprays such as Febreze. Household products will actually break down equipment because they use different chemicals than sport sprays which are harmful to the performance of goal equipment.
  • If you are washing your equipment do not use Tide as the abrasives in the detergent can cause the foam to breakdown prematurely.
  • Keep all you gear away from direct heat as this could cause damaged if the equipment gets too hot.
  • Don’t leave your equipment in your car in your bag, the gear must breath when it not being used so the protection does not break down, plus the bacteria will not start to grow on the equipment.
  • We do offer Fresh gear cleaning system in our Sports Repair department and you can bring in your bag and we will deodorize it for you.  By using Fresh Gear on your equipment you are eliminating odor-causing bacteria, reducing the risk of infection and help prolong the life of your goal equipment.
  • Do not believe everything you hear on the internet!

Trappers

  • Let your glove air dry with back of glove open
  • Keep glove pocket stuffed to maintain depth and width (i.e. Pucks, jersey, softball)
  • Use a skate lace to hold the trapper closed with the pocket stuffed to make sure the pocket stay’s full.
  • Do not push “T” inwards to expand glove. Will cause the “T” to fold inwards
  • Allow adequate time for glove to break in
    • Accelerated break ins:
      • Wear and close glove at home
      • Boil water and let steam into the inside of glove. Tie up and let sit
  • Do not store glove at bottom of bag, gloves should be the last thing you put in your bag.
